This is for the [link] colaberation. Simply put, I got bored thinking of an idea for my tile, and started to take a look at the map. I noticed that all the buildings are crammed together so closely, so I want to raise the idea of roads between the buildings. Naturally I need some examples of the 14 tiles and variations that would be needed, so I did up these two quickly (all four in a square are the same). The colors are shown in the upper left (pink is blank), and the scale fit the cars already on the collab nearly perfectly at half a tile per road piece. So, with happy intentions, here is a proposal for the Pixel Metropolis people; Roads?

Also, I did up the title in the form of :iconpixel-metropolis:, the groups official deviant. Fun, eh?

Seems very good to me. Of course, I never intended for the current placement of the buildings to be the final (I've written that in the description of our collaboration as well). I did draw a proposal for the placements of the buildings by hand on a piece of paper several months ago, but I never found the time to upload it.

I have made a quick sketch of how I imagine the city to look like (the slopes aren't going to be that steep, and there will probably be more slopes). Green are roads (across the water: bridges) - I think we should use your roads, red is placement of buildings and purple is a railroad (which will be running through the city as well). Also, I've been talking with ^ShoneGold, and she might make a proposal for the city base using your roads.

Lastly, I like the title that you made very much and would, with your permission, like to add it to the final version of the project.

Alright, would you like me to create a set for bridges and railroads as well? The sets will be complete, so any cityscape you decide on will be construcable. Also, would you like me to: lay shadows for any plants that appear on the tiles, wait for the buildings to appear than lay shadows, or ignore the shadows all together?

Finally, feel free to use the title; as far as I'm concerned it was just the cenile ramblings of a kid up at 2 am watching the old man across the street try to climb on his roof, hoping he doesnt fall (he didn't).

Since I'm logged into this account now, I'm gonna reply from it (don't want to close all windows, sign in, sign out etc.)

Regarding the bridges, I've already thought of someone I want to create one of them. As for the other bridge, I'm not sure whether ^ShoneGold is going to include that one. How about you contact ^ShoneGold, and speak with her. Then the two of you can collaborate on the base? Keep me informed :)

She might already have read this conversation as I linked to it in a note I sent her before starting to comment on it.

I hope she replies to our conversation instead of sending notes then, since its easier now that we are three than to use notes.
